"The image is a principle of order. But what does it mean to create a picture? It is living during the work and dying upon the completion of the picture, your picture. I can easily imagine a person painting and living their whole life, then painting their picture, the picture, and never picking up a brush again. In this picture would then be the sum of their experiences and the order of everything they have seen. And then the picture would have to be destroyed so that someone else could begin again."
